Talking with the participants in the scientific and educational program “Dialogue in the name of the future”, Lavrov recalled that at the beginning of 2022, the leaders of the countries – regular members of the UN Security Council came to an agreement that the nuclear war should never be unleashed, since there can be no winners.
“Russia’s position extends further: in addition to the inadmissibility of such a war, it is necessary to avoid any military clash between nuclear powers, even using conventional weapons. The escalation can gain an uncontrolled character,” he said.
