Lavrov threatened to attack weapons transferred to Ukraine from abroad

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that any cargo of weapons to Kyiv from abroad, located in Ukraine, is a “legal goal” for the Russian Federation. Lavrov said this in an interview with Al Arabiya.

“Any weapon, any supply of weapons in Ukraine is a legal goal, because this weapon will be transferred to the regime that wages the war against its population.”

details: Commenting on the possibility of ending the war against Ukraine by May 9, Lavrov also stated that the so -called “special operation” would end as soon as its goals are “realized and achieved”.

The minister also stated that the sanctions would not force Russia to “call for help and ask for forgiveness.”

Lavrov expressed the opinion that the negotiations of Russia and Ukraine stalled allegedly due to the inconsistent position of Kyiv.

“If they (the Ukrainian side – ed.) were honest negotiators, if they were committed to what they agreed with a step by step, we could significantly advance in these negotiations,” the minister said.

According to him, Ukraine could get guarantees from a group of states that includes the Countries of the UN, Germany, Turkey.

“We do not mind. The main thing is to understand how consistent they are, especially in the question of what territories these guarantees apply to. Of course, as you understand, they cannot touch the Crimea and east of Ukraine, because we recognized the independence of the republics. And initially they agreed with this at negotiations in Istanbul, but then changed their point of view, ”the minister said.

He also assures that Russia does not use mercenaries in the war against Ukraine.

“Russia never uses mercenaries. I can assure you that the Syrians have their own worries,” he said.
