Lavrov: West in vain is waiting for victory of Ukraine over Russia

The West does not allow Ukraine to move on to peaceful settlement, expecting from it the victory over Russia on the battlefield, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told reporters at the summit of the heads of the Foreign Ministry of the G20 countries in Indonesia. His statements are given by the Russian BBC service.

According to the Russian Minister, this is a dead end approach, which not only does not bring the end of the war, but also inhibits the solution of many global economic problems.

Lavrov said that the Russian delegation had to listen to a lot of things from other participants in the summit and called it the “frenzied criticism of Russia.” Lavrov said that Russia is not going to impose communication to Washington, which, according to him, was interrupted on the initiative of the United States, not Moscow.

“This is not we stopped all contacts with the United States. We are not running for anyone, asking for meetings. If they do not want to talk, this is their business,” Lavrov told reporters following a meeting of the meeting of the heads of the Foreign Ministry G20.
