Leaders Of Azerbaijan And Angola Discussed Development Of Relations

On Thursday, May 8, a telephone conversation of the presidents of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Angola Joau Lorensu took place. This was reported by the press service of the President of AR.

During the telephone conversation, the heads of state exchanged views on the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Angola, in particular, cooperation in the trade, economic and humanitarian spheres.

President JoAU Lorensa noted a visit to Baku Vice President Angola Esperanza and Keshta to participate in COP29, and held within his framework with Azerbaijani colleagues for the development of bilateral relations.

noting that Azerbaijan attaches the importance of the development of relations with the countries of Africa, including Angola, Ilham Aliyev emphasized the presence of wide opportunities for the development of cooperation in various fields.

Given that Angola is currently presiding in the African Union, the parties touched on the issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the African Union.
