Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Pakistan Prime Minister Shakhbaz Sharif discussed by telephone the prospects for bilateral cooperation between Baku and Islamabad. On Saturday, on June 7, the press service of the head of the Azerbaijani state reported.
It is noted that Muhammad Shakhbaz Sharif congratulated President Ilham Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan on the sacred Kurban-Bayrama, conveyed the wishes of progress and well-being to the Azerbaijani state.
Aliyev, in turn, congratulated the Prime Minister of Pakistan and his people on the holiday, wished the people of Pakistan happiness, development and prosperity.
With satisfaction, recalling the bilateral meetings that took place a few days ago in Lachyn, as well as tripartite meetings in the format of Azerbaijan-Sturcation-Pakistan and the discussion held during these meetings, the President of Azerbaijan and Pakistan Prime Minister noted that all this gave an even greater impetus to the development of relations between the two countries.
During a telephone conversation, opinions were held about the prospects of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan in economic, trade, energy, industrial, military, scientific, educational, tourist and other areas.
The value of the Summit of the Organization of Economic Cooperation (OEC), which will be held this summer in the Azerbaijani city of Hankendi, was affected, the hope that this event will contribute to the development of relations between member states.
During a telephone conversation, other issues of mutual interest were discussed.
