Leaders of Kyrgyz and Germany agreed to strengthen relations in all directions

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov on September 29, as part of a working visit to Berlin, held bilateral negotiations with the Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Sholts.

According to the Administration of the President of Kyrgyzstan, the meeting discussed current issues of the Kyrgyz-German story of the day in the political, economic, economic and cultural and humanitarian spheres.

During the conversation, Olaf Sholts expressed the interest of Germany to continue cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in the format of interregional and bilateral cooperation.

The Federal Chancellor, with satisfaction, emphasizing the dynamically developing Kyrgyz-German relations, noted the need to further deepen cooperation between the governments and between the business circles of the two countries.

In turn, Sadyr Zhaparov expressed satisfaction with the activation of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Germany, observed recently. He noted that the initiative to hold the first Summit “Germany – Central Asia” in Berlin was timely.

The head of state emphasized that for Kyrgyzstan it is very important that this format is not only declarative and political in nature, but is also filled with specific economic projects.

The president emphasized that a certain activation is also observed in bilateral economic cooperation. In November, the second meeting of the Kyrgyz-German business council will be held in Hamburg, where a large number of entrepreneurs from Kyrgyzstan and Germany are expected to participate.

The head of state announced the memorandum signed yesterday about the understanding with the German company KNAUF for the construction of the building materials factory in Kyrgyzstan and expressed hope for the further growth of investment cooperation between the two countries.

In addition, Zhaparov raised one of the significant issues of the regional agenda – hydropower, noting the openness of the Kyrgyz side to cooperation and in this direction.

During the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to continue the course to strengthen and develop the Kyrgyz-German relations in all areas covering the interests of the two countries.
