Leaders of three countries of Africa will visit Sudan as intermediaries

The intergovernmental body on the development of East Africa (IGAD) will send the leaders of the three countries to Sudan as intermediaries to resolve the internal conflict in this country.

IGAD members discussed the situation in Sudan on Monday. At the meeting, it was decided to send leaders of Kenya, South Sudan and Djibuti to Khartum to complete the armed confrontation between the Armed Forces of Sudan and the rapid response forces (SBR).

In Hartum and a number of other cities of Sudan in the morning, on Saturday, April 15, armed clashes between the army and the SBR broke out. The clashes lasted all night.

Disagreements regarding the reform of military security, which provides for the complete integration of the SBR into the armed forces, resulted in a hot conflict between two power structures.

As a result of an armed confrontation, dozens of civilians died, hundreds of people were injured.
