Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. This is stated in the message of the Office of Relations under the Administration of the President of Turkey.
The conflict between the Russian Federation and Ukraine, as well as regional and international issues were discussed.
During the negotiations, President Erdogan expressed Turkey’s readiness to continue efforts to end the conflict between the Russian Federation and Ukraine on the basis of a just and sustainable peace.
The Turkish leader assured that Ankara is ready to continue to contribute to diplomatic initiatives that promote direct contacts between Russia and Ukraine and the achievement lasting peace between the parties.
