US President Joe Biden during a telephone conversation congratulated the president of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan on a re -election to the post of head of state.

Biden congratulated Erdogan on the victory in the second round of the presidential elections in Turkey on May 28, and wished the well -being of the Turkish people in the coming period.
Erdogan and Biden noted the importance of developing Turkish-American relations in the face of modern regional and global challenges.
The heads of state also agreed to strengthen cooperation between Ankara and Washington in all directions.
