Leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia discussed issues of practical implementation of agreements at highest level

Presidents of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Russia Vladimir Putin discussed the practical implementations of the agreements reached at the highest level in Moscow on October 5-7 last year.

According to the press service of the Uzbek president, as part of a working visit to the capital of Tatarstan, the city of Kazan, a meeting of Mirziyoyev with the Russian leader was held.

During the meeting, the leaders of the two countries noted the consistent strengthening of the Uzbek-Russian relations of a comprehensive strategic partnership and allies.

“The fruitful results of the meetings of the interdirmy, interregional, educational, medical forums, a number of other business and cultural events held in 2023 are highly appreciated,” the report said.

It is noted that the positive dynamics in the turnover between Uzbekistan and Russia is preserved.

“In the active phase of implementation, projects in the field of industry, energy, transport, chemistry, pharmaceuticals and other industries,” the message emphasizes.

Leaders paid special attention to stimulating cooperative ties between the regions.

The heads of state discussed the joint development of effective transport corridors, deepening cooperation in the field of railway transport.

There was also an exchange of views on the regional agenda, the schedule of upcoming international events was considered.
