A list of more than 100 thousand compatriots from Western Azerbaijan has been compiled, and this process continues, the head of the press service of the community of Western Azerbaijan Ulvia Zulfigar told reporters.
According to her, the process of census of the Western Azerbaijanis continues. Every day, 250-300 Western Azerbaijanis are requesting registration in the community.
“In addition to Azerbaijanis deported in 1988-1991, among the registered there are those who were forced to move earlier and their descendants,” Zulfigar said.
She also emphasized that in the framework of the project “The Concept of Return”, proposals from scientists, experts, representatives of the public and foreign experts were received, and each of these proposals was taken into account.
