Lithuania approved long -term package of assistance to Ukraine in amount of € 200 million

Lithuania approved a long -term package of assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 200 million euros.

The Ministry of National Defense of Lithuania reported this on Thursday, January 11 on the social network x.

The department noted that more than 22 million euros of military assistance have already been allocated this month.

Another 15 million euros, Vilnius plans to allocate an international coalition to cleansing Ukrainian territories.

“We will also send more ammunition, generators and detonation systems,”- follows from the publication.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on the eve arrived on an undeclared visit to the capital of Lithuania, Vilnius. The head of state reported this to the social network X.

“Our reliable friends and fundamental partners Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia. Subsequently I will be in Tallinn and Riga, and today – Vilnius,” the politician wrote.

At a joint press conference with Zelensky, President of Lithuania Gitanas Nauceda said that Vilnius approved a long-term package of assistance to Ukraine for 200 million euros.

According to NAUSEDA, in January, Lithuania will transfer ammunition, generators and clearance systems to Ukraine, and in February – armored personnel carriers M577.

Lithuania will also continue the training of the Ukrainian military and strengthening cooperation in the defense industry. “Lithuania has been with Ukraine from the beginning of the war and will be with it before the victory,” Nauceda said.
