Lithuanian electricity transmission system operator Litgrid handed over another batch of equipment to Ukraine for the needs of the energy sector. The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine announced this in its Telegram channel on Monday, November 17.
According to the department, the supply includes critical components for restoring substations and power lines, which will enhance the stability of the energy system and carry out prompt repairs of damaged networks. It is noted that the equipment was assembled in various regions of Lithuania and successfully delivered to the territory of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Energy emphasized that such assistance contributes to a faster restoration of power supply and maintaining the stable operation of the country’s energy system.
It is noted that this is the sixth assistance package that Litgrid is transferring to the Ukrainian side. Previously, the company supplied autotransformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, current and voltage transformers, surge suppressors, insulators, relay protection and automation equipment, as well as other necessary elements to strengthen the power transmission system.
The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the Republic of Lithuania, the European Commission and international partners for their consistent support and contribution to increasing the sustainability of the country’s energy infrastructure.
