Lithuanian authorities believe that they must completely control their territory. Therefore, according to the certificate of the president of the Republic of Asta Skysgit, Lithuania will not agree to create green corridors for the transit of goods to the Kaliningrad region.
“It is necessary not only to prohibit the transit of goods from the sanctions list, but also control. Therefore, when someone speaks of green corridors in public space, we emphasize: there may be no thought that Lithuania does not control what is happening On its territory, ”she said on the air of the national radio LRT, writes Kommersant.
According to the presidential adviser, the Lithuanian authorities did not take any actions for the messages of restrictive measures in the Kaliningrad transit. “Lithuania exercises European sanctions, this is a matter of European regulation. This is not Lithuania and Kaliningrad, but the EU and Russia,” she said.
Earlier, the Governor of the Kaliningrad Region Anton Alikhanov said that it is possible to solve the problem with transit with the help of railway and roads specially allocated for these purposes.
