Lithuanian President Expressed Hope For Continuing Joint Efforts To Strengthen European Security

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauceda held a telephone conversation with Karol Navrotsky, elected new President of Poland. This was reported by the Lithuanian publication Delfi.

Nauceda congratulated Navrotsky on the victory in the elections and expressed hope for further strengthening of bilateral relations between Lithuania and Poland.

“I hope that we will continue to remain reliable allies along the NATO and EU line, and we will continue to jointly strengthen Europe security and provide support to Ukraine suffering from Russian aggression,” Delfi quoted the president’s words.

Nauceda invited Navrotsky, who will officially take office in August, visit Lithuania on a visit. According to the president, such a meeting will discuss the key issues of Lithuanian-Polish cooperation and will be a step towards further strengthening friendly ties between the two countries.

The President of Lithuania also wished the newly elected Polish leader of exposure and strength in the upcoming work.
