Great Britain refused to issue a Russian delegation to participate in the July session of the OSCE parliamentary Assembly, said the first deputy head of the Federation Council Committee for International Affairs Vladimir Dzhabarov.
“taking into account the location of all members of the permanent delegation of the Federal Assembly of Russia in the sanctions lists of Great Britain, we timely requested the leadership of the Assembly, as well as the Russian Foreign Ministry to work out and decide on the provision of guarantees to our parliamentarians of entry visas to the UK to participate in this most important inter -parliamentary Events, ”Jabarova quotes Interfax.
“We obtained essentially an outrageous answer that the British government – literally – cannot issue visas to members of the Russian delegation in the OSCE for what purpose they visited the country,” he said.
According to Dzhabarov, the 29th annual session of the OSCE parliamentary Assembly will be held on July 2-6 in the UK in Birmingham.
