Ufuk Kodzhak lost both legs during an earthquake in the city of Marmara in 1999. However, despite this, he became a successful diver. He currently lives and works in Antalya, where he teaches tourists diving and shows them the beauty of the underwater world.
49-year-old man moves with prostheses. Despite the disability, he was engaged in diving, fridival, mountaineering, climbing, windsurfing, basketball in a wheelchair and tennis. He also wrote a book called “outside the borders”.
In 2017, he set a world record for Fridiving, plunging 30 meters.
In addition, Ufuk conducts psychological consultations for those who have lost limbs as a result of destructive earthquakes that fell to the southeast of Turkey in February 2023.
With the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Turkey, Kochak organized a sports camp for those who received injuries during the February earthquakes, entitled “Hello Life again.” The center conducts swimming, riding, diving and rowing on canoe.
In an interview with an anadol correspondent, Diver noted that nature was his best assistant on his life path.
