Lukashenko believes that Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict “may flare up again”

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko considers it necessary to make every effort to resolve the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. He stated this in Yerevan at a session of the CSTO collective security council in a narrow composition, BelTA reports.

… The conflict of Armenia and Azerbaijan. I will repeat that he said at an extraordinary SKB session on October 28 – we want the conflict between the two neighboring and friendly states to be regulated peacefully, ”said the President of Belarus.

Lukashenko noted that Russia is currently performing an intermediary mission, with which Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed. “… We can be this conflict, which can flare up again, fundamentally resolve now. If desired, primarily the leadership of Armenia. Well, naturally Azerbaijan ….,” said the head of the Belarusian state.

Lukashenko also indicated that he does not understand, “why is there in this conflict, except for Russia, which is involved in mediation, another European Union and the OSCE? To further drive the stake into relations between us, between allies? We have always been so. We have always been so. We are so. We We know what this kind of “mediation” leads to. At least this conflict will be frozen again for many years. They do not need stability and peace in our region, but we need devastation. “
