Lukashenko: information monopoly of West forms threat to security

One of the key threats today is information and psychological impact. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with participants in the 52nd meeting of the Council of Heads of Security Bodies and Special Services of the CIS Participants, BelTA reports.

The head of state attracted attention to the spread of knowingly false, fake information. “The purpose of such actions is to undermine the authority of our states in the international arena. There are sometimes dangerous, aggressive actions to fakes,” Lukashenko said.

He emphasized that the actual information monopoly of the West, in particular control over the Internet, the main social networks and international media, only contributes to this.
