Lukashenko supported extension of visa -free travel for inhabitants of Lithuania, Latvia and Poland

President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, supported the proposal of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the extension of the visa -free entry regime for 2024, acting with Lithuania, Latvia and Poland. BelTA reported this in the press service of the President of Belarus.

Since April 15, 2022, a visa -free order of entry into Belarus for citizens of Lithuania and Latvia, as well as persons who have the status of an illiterate Latvia, from July 1, 2022 – for Poland citizens was introduced. In December 2022, the visa -free entry procedure for these citizens was extended for 2023.

The effect of the visa-free regime in 2022-2023 showed the steady interest of the inhabitants of neighboring states in visiting the Republic of Belarus, despite the obstacles and restrictions on the part of Lithuania, Latvia and Poland, the statement said.

The introduction of a visa -free regime allows you to demonstrate the openness of the Republic of Belarus to restore normal equal interaction with neighboring states, maintain relations with the Belarusian national minority, overcome the information blockade from the political elites of neighboring countries through interpersonal communications, follows from the message.
