The European Union is ready to provide Ukraine with the status of a candidate for joining the block. This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron, reports TASS.
“We have no right now … At such a difficult moment, to tell the Ukrainians -” Come later. “So we must give them a signal now: yes, we are ready to provide you with the status of a candidate,” the French president emphasized.
On June 13, preliminary debate took place in the European Commission regarding the prospect of membership in Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia in the European Union. Journalist Ricard Yozvyak reported that the final decision on this issue will be discussed on June 17, and its countries – members of the European Union should approve its next week. According to him, there are still questions about Georgia.
