France President Emmanuel Macron said he was supporting sanctions against Russia introduced due to hostilities in Ukraine, writes Le Figaro.
Earlier, the European Union introduced the fifth package of sanctions against Russia, which implies a full ban on any transaction with four key Russian banks.
“We will not allow it to continue. I support a new series of European sanctions against Russia to stop these abuses,” said the French president.
