Macron supported Turkey after terrorist attack in Istanbul

France will condole Turkey in connection with the death of people as a result of a terrorist attack in the center of Istanbul. This was stated on Sunday by French President Emmanuel Macron.

“On this symbolic day for our nation, when we recall the victims of terrorist attacks on November 13, 2015 in France, the Turkish people are amazed at Istanbul,” the French leader wrote on his Twitter.

“We share the pain of the Turkish people and support him in the struggle against terrorism,” Macron noted.

The words of support and solidarity with Turkey were expressed by France Prime Minister Elizabeth Bourne. “We share the shock and pain of the Turkish people. France stands together with Turkey in the struggle against terrorism,” wrote the head of the French Cabinet on her Twitter page.

According to official figures, as a result of the attack in Istanbul, six people were killed, more than 80 were injured. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan previously announced a terrorist trace of what happened. Vice President of the Republic Fuat Oktai said that the explosive device was driven by a woman.
