The Minister of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan Madat Guliyev adopted an extended delegation headed by the Chairman of the Turkish Defense Industry Committee by Ismail Demir. During the meeting, the current state and prospects for the further development of relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey in the military-technical sphere were discussed, and an exchange of views was exchanged on this topic.
During the meeting, Madat Guliyev noted that the Ministry of Defense Industry was established in 2005 on the personal initiative of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in order to maintain at a high level of combat readiness of the Armed Forces.
Madat Guliyev noted that there is close cooperation in the military-technical sphere between two fraternal countries. Recompanying that Turkey was near Azerbaijan during the 44-day Patriotic War, who ended with the Great Victory of the Azerbaijani People, the minister said he highly appreciates moral and political support provided by a friendly state.
Madat Guliyev added that the sincere attitudes of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan created the basis for the further development of centuries-old friendly connections between the two fraternal countries.
In conclusion, the Chairman of the Defense Industry Committee of the Turkish Republic Ismail Demir thanked the Minister Madata Gulieva for a warm welcome. The meeting continued to exchange views.
