On the eve of Baku, an event was held on the occasion of the National Day of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The event was made by the Minister of Defense Industry, the co-chairman of the Intergovernmental Azerbaijani-Pakistani Commission from the Azerbaijani side of Madat Guliyev, congratulated by the President of the President Bilal Haye and the Pakistani people with this holiday on behalf of the President and Government of Azerbaijan. This is stated in the press service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense.
The minister stressed that after the restoration of independence by Azerbaijan in 1991, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan became one of the first countries recognizing the sovereignty of the country. He noted that the basis of this cooperation was laid down by the national leader Heydar Aliyev and today successfully continues the head of state Ilham Aliyev.
Madat Guliyev noted that for further expansion of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan 1-2 December 2021, the 7th meeting of the joint Azerbaijani-Pakistani Intergovernmental Commission took place in Baku. During the meeting, the parties came to general consent and further expanded the spheres of cooperation.
The Minister noted that Azerbaijan and Pakistan support each other in various international organizations. Baku highly appreciates constant support for Pakistan sovereignty, territorial integrity and law of Azerbaijan for self-defense.
expressing gratitude to the Pakistani state and people, once again demonstrated its solidarity with Azerbaijan from the first day of the 44-day Patriotic War, for the support, sincere friendly and fraternal attitude, Madat Guliyev noted that the Azerbaijani state has never forgotten about the rendered Pakistan support.
