Maduro agreed with opposition, which West recognized authorities

President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro in his video conclusion to the 76th session of the General Assembly asked UN to assist in the negotiations between the opposition and the government of the republic, which are held in Mexico. This is reported by TASS.

According to Maduro, the Venezuela authorities have already managed to ensure that the “most extremist, the established opposition sectors” returned “into politics, respect for the Constitution and to participate in the elections.” Recall that the collective West headed by the United States recognized the opposition to the constitutional authorities of Venezuela. But now the authorities still surrendered to Maduro as an opposition.

Maduro also urged “to remove all criminal sanctions against the Venezuelan economy and society imposed by the United States and the Governments of the European Union.”

The government and the opposition of Venezuela began on August 13 in Mexico negotiations with the mediation of Norway. During the first round, the parties signed a memorandum of understanding to confirm the readiness for dialogue. After these meetings, the coalition of opposition parties announced that he would participate in the regional elections appointed on November 21.
