The epicenter of the earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 was located southwest of the city of Union.
The source of the tremors lay at a depth of about 69 kilometers.
At the moment, there has been no information about casualties or destruction. No tsunami warning was issued either.
The Philippines, located in the so-called “Pacific Ring of Fire” zone, is among the countries with high seismic activity.
