Objects of terrorists in the areas of Tel Rifat and Manbij will become the main goals of the Turkish army during the planned new operation in the north of Syria, writes the Turkish newspaper Sabah.
According to information, the scale of the operation and its tasks is planned to be discussed on Thursday, on May 26 at a meeting of the National Security Council (SNB) of Turkey, chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. As the publication notes, there will also be decided on the time of the beginning of the operation, it is possible that it will begin immediately after the Council of People’s Commissars.
According to the publication, preparations for the fifth of the Fifth Operation of the Turkish Army in the north of Syria were completed, the terrain was carried out, point targets were determined for striking by aviation and artillery, mainly in areas from where the United States withdrew its units. In the operation, it is planned to use F-16 fighters of the Turkish Air Force, drones, units of special forces, artillery of the ground forces.
