Mali, Burkina-Faso And Niger Announced Exit From International Criminal Court

Mali, Burkina-Faso and Niger officially announced the withdrawal from the International Criminal Court (MUS).

The published joint statement of the three states says that the Mus has turned into a “Neocolonial pressure tool”, and justice is applied selectively within its framework. In this regard, it was decided to get out of the Roman statute that established the court.

The document states that the Mus was unable to effectively pursue war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity, instead of this, turning into a mechanism that protects the interests of the imperialist powers. In the future, it is planned to create one’s own local and regional mechanisms of justice based on national values.

earlier, in March, Mali, Niger and Burkina-Faso, they have announced their intention to create a court of criminal and human rights of the Sachel Alliance.
