Mamedov’s fighter defeated Pogosyan at European Championship and came out to semifinals

Today at the European Championship in Warsaw, the Greco-Roman Competitions began.

Taleh Mamedov (63 kg) came out to the semifinals of the competition. In the 1/8 finals, he defeated Nikolai Vichueva from Bulgaria (9: 6), and in the quarterfinals defeated Armenian Grache Pogosyan. The fight was completed with a score of 2: 2, but thanks to the last scored score, our athlete won. Tonight in the semifinals, he will meet with Latvian Alexander Yurkyans.

Eldeniz Azizly (55 kg) began with Victory over Bulgarian Nedlko Petrov (12: 4), and in the quarterfinals, too, easily coped with Georgian Nugzari Zurtzumia (10: 1). In the 19th World Champion semifinals, Emin Sefershaev is waiting.

In the weight category up to 77 kg Sanan Suleimanov won in the 1/8 finals of Finn Harry Latvhala (10: 0) and came to the quarterfinal.

Also tonight five sets of medals in the women’s struggle will be played. After yesterday’s brilliant victory, Mary Stadnik (50 kg), Tatyana Vorontsova (53 kg) and Irina Netber (65 kg) have a bronze chance (53 kg).
