McDonald’s in Russia tried to buy out son of an ex-president of Armenia

In Russia, on June 12, after rebranding, a network of fast -food restaurants McDonald’s called “Tasty and Point”. The new owner of the restaurant network was the former co -owner of the company “Yuzhkuzbassugol” Alexander Govor, a franchise manager 25 restaurants of McDonald’s in Siberia.

According to the publication, the American owners of McDonald’s before a transaction in the UAE held meetings with potential buyers. And, as reported by two sources close to the top management of the Holding Company in the dialect of Inrusinvest and acquaintances with the progress of negotiations, one of the six applicants was the son of ex-president of Armenia Armen Sargsyan.

“According to the interlocutors, the family of the former head of state has Family Office in London. Armen Sargsyan has two sons: Vardan and Aik, which of them were among the applicants, – notes the publication.

According to the publication, among the applicants were also restaurateurs Arkady Novikov and Anton Pinsky, the McDonald’s franchisee partners in Russia Rostislav the Horde-Tanaevsky Blanco and Kairat Branbaev, the Kismet Capital Group, Ivan Tavrin.
