The ex-president of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili really infected coronavirus, but his condition is not critical.
This was informed to reporters by the Clinical Director of Vivamed Zurab Chhaidze.
“The patient was examined. The treatment regimen was compiled and agreed, and it is considered that its parameters do not correspond to it to be transferred to a critical department,” said Chhaidze.
According to him, Saakashvili has mild symptoms of coronavirus, and the epidemiological service is actively working on the establishment of an infection source.
Chkhaidze also denied the statement of lawyer Shalva Khachapuridze that the ex-president had fainted the day before. According to Chhaidze, this lawyer was not in the clinic during the day.
Previously, Khachapuridze said that Coronavirus was identified by Saakashvili, and demanded that the politics be urgently transferred to the intensive care unit.
Saakashvili since May 2022 has been in a private clinic due to health problems, it still cannot recover. Chkhaidze accused the ex-president of sabotage of treatment. He said that the politician does not comply with the instructions of doctors, often refuses to eat.
