Russia proposed to Ukraine a specific ceasefire for 2-3 days in certain sections of the front.
This was the head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky, according to the results of the second round of Istanbul peace negotiations that took place in the Palace of Chyragan.
According to him, the ceasefire proposed by Russia will allow the commanders to choose the dead in the “gray zone”.
“Why is a short ceasefire in the sites with turning off the drones and so on? To be able to choose the commanders of the corpses of their soldiers,” Medinsky noted.
.
Russia and Ukraine agreed on the largest exchange of prisoners – at least 1000 people on each side, the head of the Russian delegation emphasized. Moscow and Kyiv will exchange all seriously wounded and seriously ill prisoners according to the “Everything for everything” formula, in the same formula they will exchange young soldiers under the age of 25, he said.
According to Medinsky, Moscow and Kyiv intend to establish a regular exchange of seriously wounded soldiers. “We agreed that permanent medical commissions will be established, on the basis of which the parties will, without waiting for large political decisions, form lists for the exchange of seriously wounded fighters,” said Medinsky.
He also said that Russia passed a memorandum in Ukraine, which consists of two parts – how to achieve a long -term world and what steps are necessary for a full ceasefire.
Russia next week unilaterally transferred to Ukraine 6 thousand bodies of dead soldiers and officers, Vladimir Medinsky said, adding that Moscow would accept the bodies of its dead if Kyiv has them.
Ukraine today handed over to Russia a list of children that it requires to return, it has 339 names, he added.
