Lychakovsky District Court of Court of Lviv accepted on Saturday the decision to change the preventive measure for the opposition deputy Viktor Medvedchuk from the “Opposition Platform – for Life” faction suspected of state treason.
“Today, the investigator of the Judge of the Lychakovsky District Court of Lviv elected People’s Deputy of Ukraine Medvedchuk Viktor Vladimirovich to make a preventiveness in the form of detention,” – reports the press service of the court in his account in social networks.
In October 2021, Medvedchuk was placed under house arrest as a suspect in the case of the state ins. In February, lawyers policies reported that he moved to a safe place, and in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine said he fled. About the detention of Medvedchuk, the Security Service of Ukraine became known on Tuesday, April 12.
