The deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev wrote in his telegram channel a post on the need to conduct referenda on the accession of the self-proclaimed LPR, DPR and other liberated territories to Russia.
He argued this by the “systematic protection of the inhabitants” and the restoration of “historical justice.”
“They completely change the vector of Russia’s development for decades. And not only our country. Since after their implementation and adoption of new territories to Russia, the geopolitical transformation in the world will become irreversible in the world.
Assault on the territory of Russia is a crime, the commission of which allows you to use all the forces of self -defense. But it is no less important that after amending the Constitution of our state, not a single future leader of Russia, not a single official can turn these decisions back.
That is why these referenda are so afraid in Kyiv and in the West. That is why they must be carried out. “
