German Chancellor Angela Merkel arrived in Turkey at the invitation of the President of this country Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
President Erdogan and Merkel are currently negotiating in Istanbul.
During the meeting, in addition to issues of bilateral relations and economic cooperation, the parties also plan to discuss the situation in Libya, Syria and Afghanistan.
