German Chancellor Angela Merkel called a man who considers his successor to the head of the Bundestag. It made such a statement at the election event in Berlin, writes RIA Novosti.
Politician reminded that for the first time since 1994, the acting chancellor is not trying to re-election. With his successor, she believes Armina Lasheta.
“For the 72-year history of the Federal Republic of Germany in XDS / HSS put forward the federal chancellor for more than fifty years. … This is a reason to fight for these years for years, new years followed. For the sake of this we work. For Our country, for XDS / HSU, with the Army Castle – the future Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, “she emphasized.
Merkel highly appreciated the personal qualities of Lasheta, among which “priority to the dignity of people, to the construction of bridges between them.”
According to her, these qualities determine its activities in the government, in the European Parliament, as the first Minister of Integration of Germany, the Prime Minister of the Northern Rhine-Westphalia, the heads of the Christian-Democratic Union and the candidate for the Chancellors.
Elections to Bundestag will be held in September, Merkel does not claim the post of Chancellor in the new government.
