German Chancellor Angela Merkel expressed Israel Solidarity in his conflict with Palestinians and strongly condemned the ongoing missile shelling from the Gaza Sector.
According to Deutsche Welle, on Monday, May 17, Merkel discussed the aggravation of the Middle East conflict with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
During a telephone conversation with Netanyahu, Merkel stressed Israel’s right to self-defense. She expressed hope for the speedy cessation of hostilities, pointing to a large number of peaceful Israelis and Palestinians who lost their lives as a result of missile shelling.
Merkel also stressed that the German government will take tough actions against those who spread anti-Semitism and incites interethnic distribution.
