Military Personnel From Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan And Russian Federation Went To Tajikistan For Joint CSTO Exercises

Troop contingents from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus have begun redeploying to Tajikistan to participate in joint exercises of collective forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). The CSTO reported this on Tuesday, October 14.

“In the period from October 14 to 19, units participating in a joint exercise with the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces “Indestructible Brotherhood-2025” and a special exercise with the joint formation of the CSTO’s NBC protection and medical support “Barrier-2025” are regrouping in Tajikistan. Contingents of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) are sent from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia to the exercise area in accordance with the plan. The personnel of the formations and cargo are delivered by aviation and road transport,” follows from the publication.

It is noted that “the joint exercise “Indestructible Brotherhood 2025” is being held at the Fakhrabad training ground,” during which the issues of preparation and conduct of a peacekeeping operation by the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the CSTO on the territory of a member state of the Organization will be worked out.”

“For the first time, within the framework of a peacekeeping exercise, a special exercise is being held with the joint formation of the CSTO NBC protection and medical support “Barrier-2025”, during which, in the interests of the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the CSTO, issues of liquidation will be worked out sources of biological threats,” the message says.

“The active phases of the CSTO exercises are conducted in a combined format with the final stage of the joint anti-terrorism exercise of the competent authorities of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States “Commonwealth of Anti-Terror-2025”,” the CSTO summarized.
