Minister Ampullaev took part in opening of Steam Center in Tovuse

On Thursday, April 21, Minister of Education of Azerbaijan, Emin Amrullayev visited Tovuz District.

During the visit, the opening ceremony of the Steam Center in the full secondary school named after I.Sadygova village of Basalganla Tovuz district was held.

First, the delegation visited the monument to the National leader Heydar Aliyev, laid flowers for him.

Attending participation in the opening ceremony, Emin Minister Emin Amrullayev familiarized himself with the conditions created in the center.

It was noted that in the center of Steam there are playgrounds for students in the spheres of robotics, arts, science, “Steam Kids”, CNC and 3D printing, VR, engineering, and unmanned aircraft (drones).

Center is designed to use by all age groups and is fully equipped with the necessary innovative technologies in accordance with the content of Steam.

The conditions created in the center will not only be able to use schoolchildren and teachers from the above school, but also from schools of neighboring regions.

It is expected that during the year about 3000-3500 schoolchildren and students will take part in trainings on various modules in the center.

It was added that at present the STEAM project is implemented in 3 schools of the Tovuz district. The project covers a total of 240 schoolchildren area.

It should be noted that the STEAM project that currently covers more than 100,000 students across the country, in the next school year it is planned to expand.

The main goal of the STEAM project (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math), launched by the Ministry of Education in 2019 – to form students in the skills of the XXI century, such as critical, creative thinking, cooperation and many others, create opportunities for training in The process of creativity, teaching objects is not separately, but to combine them into a single learning model, expand the possibility of using modern ICT equipment through the use of various programming languages.
