Minister of Defense of the Azerbaijan Republic Zakir Gasanov sent a congratulatory letter to the new Minister of Defense of Turkey Army Yashar Guller, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reports.
Hasanov congratulated Huler on his behalf and personnel of the Azerbaijani army on the appointment of the Minister of National Defense of the Turkish Republic.
“Being the chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Turkish Republic, you have always supported the improvement of the Azerbaijani army and increase its combat effectiveness. I am sure that our joint activity will continue at a high level and during your stay as Minister of the National Defense of the Turkish Republic,” the said saying In a letter.
The head of the defense department expressed confidence that Guler will make a great contribution to the further development and strengthening of cooperation between the armies of Azerbaijan and Turkey.
Gasanov also sent a letter of thanks to the ex-Minister of the National Defense of the Turkish Republic, Hulushi Akaru.
“Mr. Hulushi Akar, I express you gratitude from myself and the personnel of the Azerbaijani army for our joint activities during your stay as Minister of National Defense of the Turkish Republic,” the letter says.
