During the on the eve of the press conference, the Minister of Education and Science Emin Amrullaev touched the problems with the Russian sector in schools in Azerbaijan. According to him, the demand for training in the Russian sector is higher than the proposal.

The minister called on parents to send children to the Azerbaijani school, due to high quality education.

“In total, there are 14 thousand seats in the Russian sector. But if 18 thousand people claim these 14 thousand places, we are forced to refuse four thousand. Some parents complain about violation of their constitutional rights due to the fact that not They can send the child to the Russian sector. But this is not so. The language of study in the Azerbaijan Republic is Azerbaijani, ”the minister said.

Emin Amrullaev noted that today in schools in Azerbaijani a better education is given. The Minister sees two ways to solve the problem, but none of them consider them effective.

“either we will increase the number of students in schools, and then in each class of the Russian sector there will be 44-46 students, or they must open new classes. In the first case, parents will complain about a large number of students, and the second path is quite complicated, Because there are not enough teachers, ”the minister said.

According to him, when hiring teachers to work in the Russian sector, in some subjects, the plan managed to fulfill only 15-18 percent. The need was not satisfied even with a decrease in a score to 30.

The minister added that such a low reduction in points for hiring teachers is injustice to the student.
