Ministers of Defense of Turkey and UK held closed negotiations

In Ancar, negotiations of the Minister of Defense of Turkey Hulushi Akar and his British colleague Ben Walles, who is on Turkey on a visit, writes TRT World, referring to official Turkish sources.

According to the message, the meeting passed behind closed doors. It is reported that the heads of defense departments discussed the war in Ukraine, the fight against terrorism and the deepening cooperation in the defense industry. The solution of the grain issue was also affected.

Hulushi Akar in his statement for the press emphasized that relations between Turkey and Great Britain continue in all areas based on strategic partnership. Now departments are working on the abolition of export licensing restrictions in the defense industry. The Turkish minister noted that in Ukraine it is necessary to announce as soon as possible the ceasefire to restore peace and stability in the region with the support of independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country’s war.
