According to the message, shelling was led from small arms of various calibers on April 9 from 16:00 to 16:50 local time.
The department reported that units of the Armed Forces of Armenia opened fire from the perspective in the direction of the village of Arp Keshkend district of Armenia in the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the direction of the village of Jahazir of the Sharurian district of the Nakhchyn Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Ministry of Defense added that in the indicated direction the units of the Azerbaijani army took adequate response measures.
Earlier today, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reported the shelling by units of the Armed Forces of Armenia on April 8, the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the Lachinsky district. According to the department, on the morning of April 9, the Armed Forces of Armenia were fired at the position of the Azerbaijani army in the direction of the village of Lazis of the Kelbadzharsky district.
