The Russian Su-27 fighter climbed into the air due to the approach of two strategic bombers of the US Air Force VVS to the State Border of the Russian Federation over the Baltic Sea. This was reported on Tuesday by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“October 24, 2023, Russian airspace monitoring of the Baltic Sea was discovered two air goals approaching the state border of the Russian Federation. To identify air goals and prevent violation of the state border of the Russian Federation, Su-27 fighter was raised from the composition Directors on Air Defense of Forces, ”the report said.
The department noted that the crew of the Russian fighter identified air targets as two strategic bomber of the US Air Force VVS.
When the Russian fighter approaches, foreign strategic bombers performed a U -turn from the state border of the Russian Federation, the state border violations were not allowed, added to the Ministry of Defense.
