The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the interception and destruction of eight aircraft -type UAV over four regions of the country. This is stated in the message of the press service of the Russian military department.
“The air defense systems were destroyed and intercepted by eight Ukrainian UAVs of which: three – above the territory of the Kursk region; two – above the territory of the Belgorod region; two – above the territory of the Voronezh region and one – above the territory of the Smolensk region,” the report said in a message Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Meanwhile, the head of the Smolensk region Vasily Anokhin said that fires appeared on a number of fuel and energy facilities.
“The forces of the Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Russia are fighting air targets. In all likelihood, as a result of the enemy attack on civilian fuel and energy objects in the Smolensk and Yartsevsky district, fires occurred. The Ministry of Emergencies will liquidate the consequences,” he wrote to his Telegram channel .
