Russian air defense equipment (air defense) from 20.00 Moscow time on June 10 to 7.00 Moscow time on June 11 intercepted and destroyed 32 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of aircraft type. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on Wednesday, June 11.
According to the department, 16 UAVs were intercepted and destroyed over the territory of the Voronezh region, 8 UAVs – over the territory of the Kursk region, 5 UAVs over the territory of the Tambov region, 2 UAVs – above the territory of the Rostov region and 1 UAV – above the Black Sea water area off the coast of the Republic of Crimea.
Acting Governor of the Kursk Region Alexander Khinshtein said that in the evening the Ukrainian UAVs attacked the village of Maryino Rylsky district.
“Unfortunately, three children came under blow. A 7-year-old girl has a mine-explosive and buried head injury, a fragmentation wound of a face, a bruise of the right knee. The 9-year-old boy has a trauma of the leg and the little finger of the right hand, the 13-year-old-bruises of the soft fabric of the legs,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.
Acting Governor of the region noted that the glazing of the Maryinsky House of Culture was damaged as a result of the blow, the sports hall was destroyed, three apartments and glazing of the Maryino sanatorium were damaged, windows in a private house and elementary school were knocked out.
To ensure the safety of flights of civil aircraft, temporary restrictions on their reception and release were introduced at the airports of Kaluga and Saratov, the Federal Air Transport Agency said.
