The Russian military on Tuesday night eliminated 147 drones over ten regions, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation said.
“from 23.30 Moscow time on June 16 to 7.00 Moscow time on June 17, the air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 147 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles of aircraft type above the territories of the Belgorod, Kursk, Bryansk, Voronezh, Tver, Lipetsk, Oryol, Tybovsky, Tula regions and above the territory of the Moscow region,”- follows from the message.
In total, according to the agency, from 20.00 Moscow time on June 16 to 7.00 Moscow time on June 17, 198 unmanned aerial vehicles of aircraft type were intercepted and destroyed.
The Governor of the Tver Region, Igor Rudenya, announced the elimination of five drones over the territory of Tver and three in the Konakovsky District.
“In the area of Tver Air Defense of the Ministry of Defense, 5 BPLs were destroyed, in the area of the Konakovsky district 3 UAVs were eliminated,” the message said.
Due to the attack of drones at night, restrictions on the reception and release of aircraft were shot at the airports of Nizhny Novgorod (“Strigino”) and Tambov (“Donskoye”), as well as at four airports in Moscow.
“CREASES OF ATS, airports and airport services take all the necessary measures to ensure flight safety is priority,” the Federal Air Transport Agency said.
The attacks of drones on the Russian regions began in 2022 against the backdrop of the “Special Military Operation” in Ukraine.
