Air Defense Means of a night shot down 73 drones over the regions of the Russian Federation. This was reported on Friday, July 18 in the telegram channel of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
“During the last night, from 23.00 Moscow time, July 17, T.G. Until 7.00 Moscow time, July 18, T.G. Air Defense Military Directorate and destroyed 73 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles of aircraft type,” follows from the message.
It is specified that 31 drone was neutralized over the territory of the Bryansk region, 17 in the Oryol region, 10 in the Moscow region, including three, flying to Moscow, 4 in the Republic of Crimea, 3 – over the water area of the Azov Sea, two in the Smolensk and Nizhny Novgorod regions, one in the Belgorod, Kaloga and Voronezh regions, as well as over above the water area of the Black Sea.
Governors of the Smolensk and Voronezh regions reported in their telegram channels that according to preliminary data, there are no injuries and destruction.
The attacks of drones on the Russian regions began in 2022 against the backdrop of the “Special Military Operation” in Ukraine.
Kyiv did not officially confirm its involvement, but in August 2023, an adviser to the head of the office of the Ukrainian president Mikhail Podolyak said that the number of UAVs of UAVs in Russia “will increase.”
In early March 2023, President Vladimir Zelensky said that the whole world sees the results of Ukraine’s use of drones of its own production in strategic objects in Russia. “I think everyone sees that our drones work.
