The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported about interception of 30 drones over the regions of the country overnight.
“during the last night from 0.20 to 05.40 Moscow time on August 8, the air defense systems were destroyed and intercepted by 30 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles of aircraft type,” the publication in the telegram channel of the Russian defense department on Friday, 8 August.
As specified in the ministry, 9 drones are intercepted over the Rostov region, 8 – above the Crimea. The other 6 UAVs were liquidated over the Saratov region, 5 – over the Bryansk, one drone was shot down over the Belgorod and Volgograd regions.
as local authorities report, as a result of the attack of drones in the Rostov region, a tank with gasoline caught fire. The head of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar, said that there were no victims.
the governor of the Bryansk region also announced the absence of wounded when hitting the region.
The attacks of drones on Russian regions began in 2022 amid the “Special Military Operation” in Ukraine.
